So, um, whats with that misty morning song? that’s so random and awesome! Were they just messing around one day and you recorded them? These are awesome, but quiet. an how did you get those sounds on the misty song?
Thomas made it up today along with Cody, and I thought it was funny, so I asked if I could record it.
Mine aren’t especially quiet on the two computers I’ve played them on– more than most other songs, but not by much. May I suggest turning up the volume of your player of choice, your computer, and your speakers? :P
Except “Cross Cry.” I told Kelly D we should use the solo mic for that and several other of the songs with solos in them, but he didn’t believe me. Sigh.
So, where are these songs coming from from Seattle? are they on a website or something? The comments are cool.
We get a CD of our performance on tour every year. At least we usually do. That’s where those songs from Seattle come from. More are to come for the other choirs– I don’t have their CDs yet.
The In Rememberance (Not Seattle) is not working. So can you see if you can fix that?
Try reloading the page. It works just fine here, and I’ve got record of it being downloaded eight times just today.
Emily and Kyle were amazing that night!!! I was there also Jared and Kendall were way funny!
Wow! That’s so cool i can’t believe you got those songs! My mom and I are thrilled to have I Am Not Yours on demand! ^^
Dude jordan bull crap kendall was the goat!!! that was totally me i want an issued retraction and published apology…… after you change it to me being the goat of course :)
Ha– at first, I had you listed as the goat because I thought I remembered you doing it, but then someone else said that Kendall made the sound, so I changed it as I wasn’t sure. It’s now fixed, and I hereby publicly apologize for listing incorrect information.
:)
Jordan I think you should let mr rauch know about this because he wanted some of our music :)
Hey are you going to put that rudolf the red nosed reindeer that the TAs did with take ten?
Yes, m’dear. Patience is, after all, a virtue. The fun Christmas songs are going to come last, but they will come just the same.
haha thanks jordan :)
Alright, I’m a douche. EVERYONE knows that. But the following comment is not meant to be douchey:
So, whenever we’d sing through “I’m Gonna Sing ‘Til the Spirit Moves in My Heart” in Concert Choir, at the VERY end, the LAST note the Tenors hummed always sounded SO flat and SO off to me.
But when i listened to it, it was fine. I get the feeling it was ONE LONE AWFUL tenor that was effing up the rest of the business.
I don’t know who it was, but to you, I shake-a-my fist!
So… are you uploading ALL the Spotlight songs and Solo class songs today or something? Because tomorrow is the 19th… :P
I say, since jordan has done so much freakin work as the treasurer, AND he is graduated and still doing treasurer duties, we should all cut him a little slack on his deadline. I’m sure he is freakishly busy trying to get everthing edited and all.
It’s June 19th, Jordan. I mean, I’m all about cutting slack to hard-working people like you, but you DID set your own deadline…
Jordan you rock!!! Thanks for doing all this!!!
hey jordan just a question on how our 5th period solos came out do they sound good and all?
I think they sounded pretty good. I haven’t listened to them for ages, but I’m going to work on getting them up this week. As I remember, they sounded pretty well. Except for our mess-ups, of course, but hey– it was live.
Bah! no one listen to me sing everthing i did uber bad and it was played too fast! :(
I thought you did all right! But if you really don’t like it, I can remove the link. That’s only if you really want me to.
didnt we record there will be rest? how come we’ve only got the seattle version on here? unless im just blind and cant find it…
I’m afraid, dear Ashley, that we started to officially record “There Will Be Rest,” but we didn’t sing it in tune at all, so he stopped us. We were going to record it later, but we never did. I’m quite upset about that one. :( But at least we have Seattle.
Jordan Spencer!! You are the best thank you so much for doing this!!!!
JORDAN SPENCER YOU ARE SO AMAZING!!! THANKS FOR EVERYTHING YOUR… JUST SO AMAZING!!
Awwwww. We recorded my solo in Spotlights, but it isn’t up. How saddening. Oh well, life goes on.
And wow. Both recordings of Fruitcake really DO suck.
Oh, Thomas! I am so very sorry! I remember vividly editing your song, but I suppose I must have not exported it along with the rest, and therefore it’s not here. I will promptly re-edit it– tomorrow, if I can. Again, forgive me!
Hey Jordan I don’t know if this is the computer I am on or the website. From Morning Trumpet down to Seattle-Nine Hundred Miles it says File Not Found. Help Please and thank you
Just Kidding! It just wasnt working at the moment but it is working now.
Ha! This is what happens when you don’t use headphones or stereo speakers. I believe that some of these songs switch channels– as in some of them will only sound on the left speaker, and then they’ll switch to the right, or switch to both. It at least does this with Corner of the Sky, and I imagine with a few others of the solos. I have 5.1 surround sound (though it’s just stereo sound split up 5.1 ways– so not TRUE 7.1, but still lovely surround nonetheless), so I can’t tell normally. However, listening to one of these songs on my netbook, I realized this. I suppose it’s too late now that I’ve alerted everyone of this, and it doesn’t exactly matter, so alas. It may even sound pretty spiffy. The Beatles used to do that with some of their songs. I always assumed it was on purpose, but maybe the person who mixed the music made the same mistake all those decades ago– except with a lot harder to use technology (seeing as how there were no such things as personal computers back in that day, and certainly no such thing as Audacity).
Sorry, just a reminder about Go the Distance. the girls start to sing the last part twice, so it sounds like we end twice.
if you put these songs on itunes how do you put the cover art on them?
I don’t use iTunes, so I’ve never added album art in iTunes myself, but this article seems to have the information you need:
http://www.barbarafeldman.com/adding_album_cover_art_to_itunes.html
Thanks Jordan!!! This has been so easy. :D Is there any possible way to copy the Nine Hundred Miles video to put it on my iPod that I love dearly?
There are many websites that will download and convert YouTube videos for you. Just search “.flv to .mpg converter” on Google, and you should find something that will help you.
Hey Jordan could you do me a favor and tell people if they want my other song they can email me for it. I don’t really care that much, i just would rather be remembered by that song, cause i sound like crap in hallelujah. And i totally understand why you won’t post it. Its your website and i don’t want you to be dictated by something you don’t believe in. No hard feelings whatsoever.
Jared, I feel quite bad about that. But I’m glad you’re understanding. Shall I simply post up your email address with a notice about it?
By the way, I think you sounded splendid in Hallelujah. :)
Jordan,
Wonderful, wonderful. Thanks for posting these songs. This is a terrific way to do it. I anxiously await the video you promised to send me :)
I hope you’re having a good summer. Take care!
Mr. Rauch
Haha. Don’t worry. I have the videos in my possession. I simply need to borrow a camera from a good man in my ward so that I can port the video to my computer. Then you shall have said media.
